Engineer. Innovator. Maker.

About Me
Hey there! I'm Christine, an iOS Software Engineer at Disney. I am currently the lead for the ABC News and OTV iOS applications. I have always been fascinated with innovation and the role technology plays in making the world a better place! In my free time I enjoy rock climbing, pickleball, trying new restaurants, soccer and more!
Experience
I am the iOS Software Engineer team lead for Disney’s iOS News apps: ABC News, KABC, KFSN, KGO, KTRK, WABC, WLS, WTVD, WPVI. I have led the development of new features across multiple platforms and have been an integral contributor in the delivery of these high quality and scalable apps.
Lead the completion of reprinting documents, checking gift card balance, and device repairs in the replatforming of Apple Retail's in store payment system in SwiftUI.
I was the iOS/tvOS Software Engineer lead for Disney’s Entertainment Streaming apps: ABC, ABC News, DisneyNOW, Freeform, FXNOW, National Geographic which is housed on a single codebase. As a culture club member, I have set up multiple events to foster a positive/fun team environment and a mentor to interns and other engineers around me.
As a Software Engineering Intern on the Data Ingestion team, I am responsible for creating a log parser that will be utilized to troubleshoot errors during batch ingestion. Additionally, a database will store a history of past ingestion statistics to be used to optimize different stages of the ingestion pipeline. Finally, a user friendly dashboard displays any information that analysts could hope for.
As a Software Engineering Intern at a startup called oopSee, a voice interfaced teaching tool, I worked on developing the Android application. I contributed to the UI, backend, and bug fixes.
I am a teaching assistant for the student taught iOS Development class at Cal. I help teach and support 100+ students in their journey to learn the basics of the iOS development platform.
Projects
A simplified version control system like git. Implemented features include commands such as:
-add -commit
-remove -log
-global log -find
-status -checkout
-remove branch -merge
Created an original Doge themed iOS game with 3 minigames, implemented with SpriteKit. Don't touch the Grumpy Cat is a game synonymous to "Don't Tap the White Tile" game where the Doge represents the singular black tile and Grumpy cats are the white tiles. Frisbee is a game in which the user is flicking frisbees to the moving Doge. Fetch is a game in which the user utilizes the phone's gyroscope to move the Doge in order to keep a number of tennis balls afloat.
The iOS game, Hangman, reaimagined into an aethesticly pleasing past time. Contrary to the traditional stick figure, the images in this game were illustrated by me using Photoshop and Illustrator, to create a multicolored origami crane.
